It's the season of homecomings for Pretty Little Liars, but not everyone is thrilled with Rosewood's string of impromptu reunions. Paige will re-enter the mix later this month, and it appears as if their torch song will swell in the background.

The only logical parents in Rosewood, Mr. and Mrs. McCullers recognized their town for what it was - the teenage murder capital of the world - and got their offspring the hell out of Dodge before high school came to an end. The move terminated Paige (Lindsey Shaw) and Emily's (Shay Mitchell) relationship, but a new threat could bring the pair back together.

After the former couple applies for the same job at Rosewood High during "Exs and OMGS" (Aug. 16), "The Wrath of Kahn" (Aug. 23) will see an emotionally distraught Emily look for a familiar soldier to lean on.

"One of the PLLs goes rogue to prove that Noel Kahn is Uber A, while the others try to find evidence to back her theory and worry about her emotional state," Freeform teased. "Emily unexpectedly turns to Paige for comfort in her time of need, which causes tension in her other relationships. Jason and Aria team up to look into Mary's past and what she might be hiding."

Well, it seems episode 9 could easily knock the foundation out from the burgeoning Emily and Sabrina (Lulu Brud) romance. Alternatively, the Liar could suffer a blow her friendship/nascent romance with Alison (Sasha Pieterse). Either decision would be unfortunate for some fans, especially an occasionally vitriolic group who recently found their way onto showrunner Marlene King's Twitter feed. According to these viewers, Emily needs to stop jumping from girl to girl.

"Maybe their is a reason for that. Maybe that is a part of her story," King explained, reminding fans that all PLL couples have their own stumbling blocks. "You will need to watch and see. She is a very complicated character."
