Rumors of reality star Teresa Giudice competing on the next season of Dancing With the Stars have started up again.

As is frequently the case with the final weeks before a new season of Dancing With the Stars, there are all sorts of rumors about who will be part of the new cast. Giudice's name has been brought up frequently in recent years but she has never found the right time to do the show.

It appears that Giudice still can't find the time to do DWTS, as her attorney said in a new statement.

"'Dancing With The Stars' approached Teresa about doing the season that aired in March but unfortunately with Teresa having just come home and with Joe Giudice going away in March, we had to decline the offer," the reality star's attorney James Leonard Jr. told E! News recently. "We have not had any discussions with 'Dancing With The Stars' since that time and as such any story linking Teresa to the upcoming season are untrue. Teresa remains a fan of the show and if the timing is right and both sides are interested, I could absolutely see her doing the show at some time down the road."

Plenty of reality stars have done Dancing With the Stars in the past, to varying levels of success. Fellow Real Housewives alums NeNe Leakes and Lisa Vanderpump competed on the show in the past, though neither made it particularly deep into their respective seasons. There's also Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft, who competed in season 8 and came in third place but later went on to win the show's all-star season.

Outside of her work on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Giudice does have reality-competition experience. In 2012 she was a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice, where she finished in fifth place.

Dancing With the Stars season 23 premieres Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The cast is expected to be announced a few weeks before the premiere.
