It's been a big year for The Chainsmokers, and the Best Electronic Video nominees proved that their recent successes aren't just a one-time deal with their performance of their hit Billboard Top 100 song "Closer," with Halsey.

The Chainsmokers, better known as Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall first found success with their single "#Selfie," in 2014, which reached No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and No. 11 on the UK Singles Charts. The duo released their debut EP, Bouquet, in October 2015, which featured the songs "New York City," "Until You Were Gone," "Waterbed," "Good Intentions," and "Roses." They released the single "Don't Let Me Down," in February, featuring Daya (which was nominated for the Electronic Video award this year), as well as another single, "Inside Out," featuring Austrian singer Charlee.

"Closer," their most successful single to date which peaked at No. 1 on the Hot 100, was released on July 29.
