When Zoe Saldana arrived at the London premiere of Star Trek: Into Darkness on Thursday, she did not expect the windy weather to send her black and white gown flying as she walked the red carpet.

The 34-year-old needed assistance with her gown, which had an open back and beaded detail in front. Her hair remained in place but the gusty winds made her dress fly as she just barely avoided a wardrobe malfunction.

Joining Saldana at the premiere were co-stars Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve. As they got together for a group photo, Quinto, Cumberbatch and Eve tried to help Saldana with her dress, Mail Online reported. Pine looked on with worry and when they finally managed to keep Saldana's dress in place, they posed together near the Starfleet logo.

Eve wore an Ermanno Scervino suede, strapless dress with a black-waisted belt. She had her blond hair pulled back into a bun and her makeup consisted of a smoky-eyed look.

The cast was on their world promotional tour for the second Star Trek film, directed by J.J. Abrams. Saldana, Pegg, Pine, Quinto, and Urban play Nyota Uhura, Scotty, James T. Kirk, Spockk and Bones, respectively, Eve was played Dr. Carol Marcus.

Star Trek: Into Darkness wil hit theaters on May 9.
