American Idol 2013 eliminated another contestant Thursday night leaving only three in the competition. After one hour of performances, Ryan Seacrest revealed the contestant going home tonight, which seemed like a big upset for the judges.

The first to be saved was Angie Miller, followed by Candice Glover. As Amber Holcomb and Kree Harrison stood at the center of the stage, holding each other, Seacrest announced what seemed like a shock to the judges. Amber was eliminated.

Kree Harrison gave her a big hug and moved on to the remaining spot on the top 3. Amber performed for a last time while Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj were in tears.

Amber couldn't finish her song because she was overcome by tears. Her father, came up to the stage to comfort her and Amber broke down in his arms. The emotional moment put the judges to their feet and Carey seemed visibly upset.

Kree seemed shocked while Candice also started to cry. Apparently many people thought Harrison was going to be eliminated and Amber didn't seem prepared to leave, many people online commented.

Tonight's show included performances by Will.i.am who sang "Bang Bang" from the film The Great Gatsby, David Cook who debuted his new single "Laying Me Low," and Harry Connick Jr. who delighted the audience with the song "Every Man Should Know."
