Well, well, well. It seems congratulations are in order for Blindspot's Kurt Weller.

Sullivan Stapleton's FBI agent has had a rough few months. Still reeling from Jane Doe's (Jamie Alexander) inadvertent betrayal to his father's murder confession and the discovery of Taylor Shaw, Weller entered season 2 ridding a downward spiral of emotional turmoil. Now, however, there is a bright spot in all the darkness - a little baby Weller is on the way.

Allie (Trieste Kelly Dunn) dropped by to announce the news during "Heave Fiery Knot," and Kurt took it exceptionally well. Some fans, meanwhile, had quite the opposite reaction. Now, series creator Martin Gero is here to assuage your fears. Just because Allie's having his baby, that does NOT mean the exes are planning on shacking up.

"[The pregnancy] was a hotly contested thing in the [writers] room because whenever a character suddenly is expecting a kid, it becomes a huge issue for fans for a lot of reasons," Gero explained to Entertainment Weekly. "One, this doesn't mean he's going to get back with Allie. In fact, totally the opposite."

The pair looked down that road once before and said no thank you. It remains unclear whether or not Weller will ever forgive Jane enough to strike up a real romance, but Gero and co. have propped that door open and no runaway baby carriage is going to slam it shut.

"They realized they don't work," Gero says. "This is, from the beginning, set up as, 'Do you want to co-parent this kid with me?' It's a very modern take. He's not like, 'I guess we've got to get married now.' They didn't work."
