Sean Lowe was eliminated during week 8 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars on Tusesday.

The 29-year-old landed in the bottom when he earned 42 out of 60 points for two routines with his dance partner Peta Murgatroyd on Monday. The pair earned 21 out of 30 for each of their dance numbers. One routine was a "regular" dance and the second was with a third partner for a trio.

Lowe landed in the bottom with Super Bowl 2013 winner Jacoby Jones.

When Lowe learned of his elimination on Tuesday's results show, his fiancé, Catherine Giuidce looked glum. Lowe said in interview following the cut that he wished he had performed better on Monday's show.

"It's always going to eat at me . . . I wish I'd performed better last night, but overall I'm proud of myself," the former Texas insurance agent told Us Weekly.

Lowe expressed being content at the opportunity to take a well-deserved break - he joined season 16 of DWTS a week after the season finale of his last reality show, The Bachelor, aired in March.

"This whole thing is a lot to handle," Lowe said of being on two reality shows back-to-back. "I've gone from one show to the next the dast 12 to 14 months, something like that. It's nice now I'll have a little bit of a break, I can take a deep breath."

"We'll definitely take a vacation, relax, spend a lot of good quality time with her because Dancing has consumed my life these past few months," he added. "We're going to do a couple of weekend getaways and then we talked about doing one big vacation," he explained. "We're definitely going to take advantage of the summer!"

Lowe said in another interview that he does not have any regrets about joining the hit dance competition reality show.

"I did this to challenge myself and do things I've never done and enjoy my time doing it and I did exactly that," he told E! News.

Lowe comfirmed that he and Giudice begin planning their wedding, which they confirmed in previous interviews will be televised for ABC. He told E! News that he will let his fiance' take care of most of the details for their upcoming nuptials and shared his only wish.

"I'm a smart man, I know the wedding is all about the woman, so I'm going to let her take care of most of it and when she wants my opinion, she'll ask for it," he said. "The only thing I've told her is I want it to be a big party. I want to have fun, family and friends coming together to celebrate, so I think we're going to accomplish that."

Dancing with the Stars season 16 airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7 p.m. Central on ABC.
