The wait is finally over. After a short interruption, Secrets and Lies is back with its latest installment, season 2 that bring us much closer to finding out who murdered Kate? Who attacked Neil and what was he doing in Liam's apartment? Why is he ransacking Liam's (Graham Phillips) apartment?

Episode 3 of ABC's "Secrets and Lies" is coming up after the episode 2 cliffhanger. The episode was a bit slower than previous episodes, as it primarily focused on figuring out just what happened to Kate's assistant, Liam.

The synopsis of episode 4, titled "The Detective," shows that Eric will discover he has "more in common" with Danny than he initially believed. Although they didn't know each other prior to Kate's death - and it's still not clear how Danny is connected to her - the two will team up to find Liam."

Detective Cornell hounds Eric (again) in order to hear his version of the relationship he shared with his ex, Ms. Sawyer. He  tells Cornell, "I don't care. I didn't kill my wife so it doesn't matter. I told you about Kate's black eye and I told you about Liam's disappearance but nothing gets through." 

It seems that Eric may be closer to getting answers regarding Kate.

He visits a seedy motel and learns that Kate once stayed there with her ex. During the investigation, Eric learns about a woman connected to Liam and that she may have something to do with the murder but he struggles to find more leads.

Eric brings all of the information regarding the disappearance of both Carly and Liam to the attention of Detective Cornell, but she doesn't care about that.

Detective Cornell who wants to build a case against Eric, calls Eric's ex-girlfriend Tina. But later She finds out that Tina accused several other men of domestic violence so she dropped the idea.
