Drake and Taylor Swift are rumored to be dating after the two were seen cozying up. Latest reports, on the other hand, refute the dating speculations and claim that there is a better explanation as to why the singer and rapper are seen together a lot.

In a report by Celebuzz, Drake and Swift are reportedly seen together so much not because they are dating but because they are making music together. This was revealed after the country singer was not seen at Drake's Halloween party.

The 26-year-old singer not showing up at the rapper's party sparked even more speculations. This is the reason why the two stars' camps felt the need to clear the air. A source close to the Grammy award winners said, "They've been in the studio collaborating."

In late October, dating news about Swift and the 30-year-old rapper broke after they were seen together at the latter's 30th birthday party. In the said event, the "Bad Blood" singer was introduced to Drake's mom and friends. At the said birthday bash, Swift was reportedly given the VIP treatment.

The dating rumors broke following reports that the Canadian-born rapper broke it off with another singer superstar Rihanna. Meanwhile, Taylor is also recently single after a much talked about relationship with "Thor: Ragnarok" star, Tom Hiddleston.

With the two fresh from break-up, it is no wonder that people are quick to speculate on a budding romance when the Drake and Swift were spotted together. It did not help that some news reported that Drake allegedly told Kim Kardashian to back off, after finding out that the reality star continues to dis Taylor on social media, particularly Twitter.

Incidentally, or not, Rihanna and Calvin Harris, one of Swift's exes, worked together in a music collaboration, as well. Therefore, the Drake-Taylor team up may have been borne from the desire to compete with the Rihanna-Calvin music partnership.
