She is portraying a role that is very similar to one she has in real life as an adoptive mother, and now, Lion star Nicole Kidman is expressing how she would feel if her children, Isabella and Connor Cruise with ex Tom Cruise, asked to meet their birth mothers.

Kidman spoke to E! News about her new film, where she portrays the adoptive mother of Saroo Brierley, who's real-life story saw her separated from his mother and brother and going on a mission to find his family when he reaches adulthood. She was then asked if she would be supportive if Isabella, now 23, and Connor, now 21, asked to do the same thing.

"Yeah, of course," she said. "That's part of my belief on adoption. If a child wants to find their birth mother, I'm absolutely supportive of that."

Kidman also discussed the fact that she and husband Keith Urban, with whom she has two biological daughters, are both turning 50 next year, and while she didn't brush off the idea of having a joint party with her husband (her birthday is in June while his is in October), she said they're not thinking about it right now because they prefer to take things one week at a time, and they're currently focusing on their daughter Faith's upcoming sixth birthday in December.

"As I said, everyone keeps jumping a year ahead. We're jumping a week ahead," she said. "That's all we can do in our lives right now...We'll see. [Right now] we're thinking about Fifi's birthday. She's the next birthday on our list."
