Kree Harrison, who came in 2nd on this season of American Idol, is making her debut appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on June 4th.

The 23-year-old country/blues singer told reporters on Friday that Idol judge Keith Urban invited her to perform on the Nashville stage on June 4th.  Harrison was ecstatic to announce the news, saying:

"Today's my birthday and that's the best birthday present I've ever gotten I'm my life."

She said that she was honored to be invited to perform on the prestigious country stage, saying, "One of my lifelong goals is to play the Opry and to stand where all of my peers and all those country music legends have stood."

Urban will also perform on the same night, along with former Idol contestant Kellie Pickler.  Also slated to perform are Rascal Flatts, Ricky Skaggs and Diamond Rio.

Harrison is particularly excited to be sharing the stage with Pickler, who is currently a finalist on Dancing With the Stars.  Harrison said of Pickler, "I talk to her all the time, but I haven't heard from her.  I'm so freakin' proud of her. I hope she wins Dancing With the Stars!"

On Wednesday night's final performance show, Harrison performed the potential coronation song she would release if she were to win the show.  Titled "All Cried Out", the song was particularly resonant for the singer, who lost both of her parents at an early age.

Harrison was only in the bottom 2 once during the entire run of the show, often landing amongst the Top 2 or 3 vote-getters.  During her time on the show, Harrison performed such covers as "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan, "See You Again" by Carrie Underwood and "Crying" by Roy Orbison.

Harrison does not have a release date for her first album, though her single, "All Cried Out", is currently available for download on iTunes.
