She was stunned and had her ego bruised when her husband fired her from hosting GC Buzz because she wasn't putting out positive stories, but after Mariah's (Camryn Grimes) debut, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will see an opportunity to convince Devon (Bryton James) to give her the gig again on The Young and the Restless.

Devon asked Mariah to try out hosting the show during the live segment about the launch of Chelsea's (Melissa Clare Egan) new spring line, but after putting on the large heels she was asked to model, ones which may have been tampered with, she fell flat on her face while on camera. Now, as she lies on the floor, her mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) will panic that she could be hurt, but will be forced to let Mariah handle the situation on her own.

"Hold on, Hold on," Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Dec. 13 episode, holding Sharon back.

"But she could be hurt!" Sharon cries.

"They're still rolling. Let's just see what she does," Chloe replies.

Mariah will get back up and close the segment, but she will be dejected by what happened to her, and will figure that she won't have the job much longer because of what happened, and the fact that the clip is going viral.

Meanwhile, Hilary will delight in the fact that the fall happened, and will assume Mariah is no longer sticking around, meaning her job would once again be open. She will then go to Devon and tell him that if he gives her the job back, then she'll forgive his original decision to let her go.

"If you admit that you were wrong, just maybe I'll come back," she says in the clip.

However, Hilary will be stunned, not only because Devon will still inform her that he doesn't want to give her the job back, but also because there will be something unexpected-positive remarks and comments from viewers about Mariah, meaning Devon will then be more insistent than ever that she take over as the show's host.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
