Nicki Minaj gave fans an unexpected surprise when she performed at the Billboard Awards 2013 Sunday night.

The 30-year-old singer/rapper whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj took the stage at MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas to perform her hit-single High School with Lil Wayne. Minaj walked on stage wearing cut-out black tight pants that flaunted every inch of her assets, paired with a gold spiked jacket. Her hair was sleek and long and she wore a fitted cap to match the look.

Wayne entered the stage rapping his part of the song in his normal look-a white t-shirt and baggy pants.

During the set, Minaj's backup dancers grabbed a chair from behind the stage, in which Wayne sat down.

Minaj then started doing a routine that included whining and shaking her hips, soon landing on Wayne's lap.

After Minaj finished the quick routine on Wayne, she soon backed up into the cameras and started flexing her twerking skills.

Nicki's lap dance seemed to have stole the show at the awards, with many Twitter users tweeting about the perfomance.

"@NICKIMINAJ It was really amazing. I didnt expect this. JUST WOW," a fan wrote.

Another user chimed in and tweeted: "I CANNOT PROCESS WHAT ALL JUST HAPPENED!" I'm in total shock."

Minaj just wrapped up her first season as judge on American Idol.

Enstars reported earlier that the outspoken judge will not be signing on to do another season because she wants to use her time to focus on touring, creating a new album, and getting more endorsements.

"It's safe to say she isn't coming back to Idol," a source said. "She's OK with it. She had a great time, but was only going to do one season anyway."
