The Young and the Restless fans should get ready for some twists on the show.

Sharon will be at the center of these twists as she will see the entry as well as the exit of two important men in her life. Her father is all set to make an entry but her husband Dylan will leave Genoa City.

Sharon's father is expected to come into her life looking for his long-lost daughter. Rumors are rife that he will be entering Genoa City in February and speculations have been doing the rounds on social media for a long time. They gained more buzz when Sally Sassman, the previous writer on the show came back to the soap opera.

As for Sassman, she declared that she wanted The Young and the Restless to get back to its glorious days and the core characters, that is, Sharon, Victor, Jack, Ashley, Nikki, Nick, Victoria and Billy. She made it clear that she desired those times when the soap opera was rated number one by the fans, claims TV Insider. Now, it seems she has started working on it and Sharon's father is part of her plans.

Notably, The Young and the Restless has not shed much light on Sharon's family. The only thing viewers know is that her mother was paralyzed when she was a teenager. However, her father might show up in some weeks and it is likely that Walt Willey would be essaying the role of the long-lost father, reports Celebs Newz.

The AMC alum recently posted on his Facebook page referring to rumors that he had joined The Young and the Restless as Sharon's father Aaron.

He did not put an affirmative stamp on the rumors and only asked his followers if they would like to see him in the said role. Most of them answered in his favor and the storyline seems ready for his arrival. After the departure of Dylan, Sharon will have very less screen space and this might be the best time for her father to knock on her doorsteps.

The Young and The Restless airs Mondays to Fridays on CBS.
