She thought for sure that she was going to successfully file for sole custody of the daughter she learned she had, but Lulu (Emme Rylan) will be in for a shock when she learns what Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Nina (Michelle Stafford) have done to affect her chances on General Hospital.

After learning Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) had called off their wedding, Nina and Valentin took advantage of having an officiant and a church available to them and married because presenting a united front as a couple would help them in the battle againt Lulu and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) for custody of Charlotte. However, now, Valentin may wonder if they made the right decision, and Nina will assue him they did because they'll be giving Charlotte a better chance at getting what she wants, which is to be with them.

"I think we did the right thing for Charlotte," she says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Jan. 3 episode.

Meanwhile, Lulu, who is unaware of the change in the pair's relationship, will wonder to Dante if her fighting with Nina could hurt her chances while Nina is simply Valentin's girlfriend, especially after her husband warns her to be careful and not too impulsive when it comes to the battle ahead.

"How does my fighting with Nina affect the custody case?" She asks in the clip.

When news surfaces however that Nina is now Valentin's wife, Lulu will realize that the fighting has more of an impact than she realized-and her chances of winning full custody could be forever altered as a result.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
