Donald Trump took time out of his day Friday to criticize the ratings for Arnold Schwarzenegger's Celebrity Apprentice, and the latter is fighting back.

Trump tweeted Friday about the ratings for The New Celebrity Apprentice being down compared to his own ratings:

Monday night's The New Celebrity Apprentice premiere drew 4.9 million viewers while the most recent season of Trump's Celebrity Apprentice premiered to 6.8 million viewers. While Schwarzenegger's numbers are technically lower, this does not account for the constantly-shifting ways in which people watch television these days. There is a sizable difference in the average TV ratings of 2015, when Trump's final season of The Celebrity Apprentice aired, and the ratings of today.

Regardless, many have criticized Trump for tweeting such a seemingly inconsequential statement compared to the many decisions he is faced with as President-elect. Schwarzenegger got into it himself, tweeting back to the President-elect:

This news also comes with the controversy of Trump still being an executive producer on The Apprentice franchise while also serving as President of the United States. Trump is said to not be involved in the show's production, and Schwarzenegger suggested in December that Trump's EP credit wasn't that consequential.

"I think it's perfectly fine that he will have the executive producer credit because he created the show with Mark Burnett together. So why should his credit go?" Schwarzenegger told Today's Matt Lauer. "But he made it very clear that he has no interest in being involved. It is now my show. I am the host. I am the new boss, and I'm going to run this show. But any time I'm advised [by anyone], I would take [the] advice."

The New Celebrity Apprentice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
