Dancing With the Stars producers may be replacing its current panel and adding a fourth judge in the upcoming season 17, according to New York Post.

In addition to eliminating the Tuesday night results show, producers may be revamping the judging panel for the first time in 16 seasons.

"We are just starting to figure it out now," producer Deena Katz said after Tuesday night's, season 16 finale.

Sources close to the show have confirmed that the current judges - Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli - have not had their contracts renewed for next season.

"It's true no one is locked in under contract yet," an insider told E! News,"but that's not necessarily unusual at this stage,"

Speculation has begun on what the new judging panel will look like, mostly by the pro dancers. Karina Smirnoff suggested, "I think four judges. American Idol has four. The Voice has four."

"Bring in someone like JLo to judge us," she added, "to give a little bit of a new criticism, a new perspective."

Katz admitted that producers have been trying to court former president Bill Clinton to be a judge for years, saying, "He will get an offer every season."

Now that Dancing With the Stars is only airing one show a week, Katz said that the biggest challenge with the coming season will be figuring out how to revamp voting and eliminations. Upon learning that the format of the show would be changing, dancer Sharna Burgess said, "When I first heard, if I am honest, I was like 'What do you mean? Why are you changing the format?"

She added, "but the more I hear [executive producer] Conrad Green talk about it, I am really, really excited."

Dancing with the Stars will be entering its 17th season in the fall, in its Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot on ABC.
