Saturday Night Live is back for its first live show of 2017, bringing in first-time host Felicity Jones.

Jones will be hosting SNL for the first time tonight, fresh off her role as Jyn Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Now the no. 1 film of 2016, Rogue One has allowed Jones to be exposed to a worldwide audience. The actress has been having a great couple years, starring as Jane Wilde Hawking in 2014's The Theory of Everything, which resulted in a Best Actress Oscar nomination.

The musical guest for tonight's SNL is Sturgill Simpson. Like Jones, Simpson is coming off a great year that capped off with a surprise Album of the Year nomination at the Grammys. A Sailor's Guide to Earth became his most mainstream album yet, hitting no. 3 on the Billboard 200 and no. 1 on the country chart.

Of course, many will be tuning in to see SNL's coverage of President-elect Donald Trump's latest antics. It remains to be seen if Alec Baldwin will return to play the president-elect, who is just a few days away from inauguration. However, Baldwin did confirm that he will play Trump the show after his inauguration.

Saturday Night Live airs tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. If you cannot watch SNL on television but still wish to watch it live, you can try the NBC live stream. It is only available in select markets, and you'll need to enter your cable subscription information.
