The 2017 People's Choice Awards will air live on CBS Wednesday night, and here's how you can stream the show online.

The People's Choice Awards will be hosted by Joel McHale this year, with special musical performances by Blake Shelton and Fifth Harmony. The award show, which honors the public's favorite movies, TV shows, music and online content, is a populist alternative to other award shows that air this time of year.

The nominees for Favorite Movie include Captain America: Civil War, Deadpool, Finding Dory, Suicide Squad and Zootopia, while the Favorite TV Show category consists of CBS's The Big Bang Theory, ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Starz's Outlander, Netflix's Stranger Things and AMC's The Walking Dead.

The music categories have some of the industry's hottest names competing against each other, including Shelton, Drake, Shawn Mendes, Justin Timberlake and The Weeknd in Favorite Male Artist and Adele, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Rihanna and Britney Spears in Favorite Female Singer. The Favorite Group category includes The Chainsmokers, Coldplay, Fifth Harmony, Panic! at the Disco and Twenty One Pilots. Many of these artists are also nominated for Favorite Album, including Rihanna's Anti, Grande's Dangerous Woman, Shelton's If I'm Honest, Beyoncé's Lemonade and Drake's Views.

Many social media and YouTube stars are nominated this year, including Nash Grier, Cameron Dallas, Jacob Sartorius, Shane Dawson, Miranda Sings, Tyler Oakley and PewDiePie.

The 2017 People's Choice Awards begin at 9/8c on CBS, and are scheduled to last until 11/10c. If you cannot watch the People's Choice Awards on television, no worries. The awards ceremony will also be available to stream live online on the CBS All Access website and app. All you need to do is sign up for a free trial if you don't already subscribe to the service. After a seven-day free trial, CBS All Access is $5.99 per month.
