Revenge showrunner Mike Kelley announced earlier in the year that he was leaving the ABC series, and with executive producer Sunil Nayar taking over, fans are wondering what direction the show will go in when it returns for its third season.

Henry Czerney, who plays Conrad Grayson, said in a recent interview with TV Guide that Nayar promised to "get back to the core characters and focus less on the shenanigans." Season 2 focused largely on Emily Thorne' s relationship with Aidan Mathius, the Initiative and the Falcon, but could the plot change completely in season 3?

Nick Wechsler, who plays Jack Porter, said planning for the new season is still underway and even the actors are not aware of what will be on the final script. He talks about Kelley's departure from the show and what the future of Revenge has to hold.

"I'm bummed," Wechsler said of Kelley stepping down, "because Mike plucked me from obscurity after 10 years of nothing. I owe him so much. But Sunil called me to talk about next season. It would be nice if character arcs are mapped out in advance so we can structure our performances properly."

Wechsler also talked about Connor Paolo, who plays his brother Declan Porter on the show. The latter was killed in the season 2 finale due to an explosion at Grayson Global - which Conrad planned - and Paolo will not be returning to the show.

"Connor wasn't happy. But he also took it like a champ," Wechsler said. "I think on some level he was preparing himself for it because he knew he wasn't being used that much...the writers had a hard time finding a purpose for everyone, and he ended up not getting serviced."

In a separate interview, Wechsler said Jack will have a hard time trusting people in season 3 - especially Emily, whom he said will need to "earn his trust back."
