'Counting On' Recap & Update: Jessa Duggar Unexpectedly Gives Birth To Second Baby, Secret Gender Reveal Failed

The Duggars are quite busy and preoccupied with Jinger's wedding as shown in the latest episode of "Counting On." Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald also dropped a very cute news bomb on Feb. 6 that their second child was already born.

According to US Weekly, the said announcement of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald was not in sync with the turn of events in "Counting On," which showed the couple heading to the hospital for a pregnancy checkup. Meanwhile, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo were enveloped in pre-wedding giddiness as they counted the days before they say "I do." Another couple in "Counting On," Jill and Derrick Dillard took a different route and decided to take a trip down memory lane by visiting the latter's alma mater.

In the latest "Counting On" episode, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald were still on the process of determining their second baby's gender. Jana and Joy tagged along and were made to promise to keep the gender of the baby a secret. The two ladies obliged, with Joy even beaming with happiness as she shared that it felt pretty special to be part of the intimate moment.

Initially, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald wanted to keep the gender of their second baby a secret. During the pregnancy checkup, the crew of "Counting On" were even asked to leave the room while the gender scan was being performed. However, it appears that the efforts put to keep the baby's gender were in vain as Jessa ended up giving birth to her second baby even before that said episode aired.

On Feb. 6, a bouncing baby boy was added to the Duggars-Seewald family tree. As of writing, Romper reports that no details about the name of the baby boy has been released by the parents.

The unexpected arrival of Jessa and Ben's baby boy might take away the spotlight from the upcoming wedding of Jinger Dugger and Jeremy Vuolo. However, a baby is a blessing and it's arrival will surely add to the many reasons why the Duggars have to celebrate.
