Fans of the Universal Pictures' "Pitch Perfect" franchise are thrilled to hear that the movie is coming back again to the big screen. Actress Anna Kendrick (Beca) had not been sure whether "Pitch Perfect 2" could ever happen, but now she can see something that goes beyond her speculations.

Even though the first movie had hit the skies with US$115 million globally, she had never anticipated that it would be followed by two more movies. In spite of the speculations, she had also not expected it to revive and reach "Pitch Perfect 3." The scenes have even started initial filming, according to Telegraph.

Kendrick said that so many movies have drawn in the money but not made sequels. She got used to the idea of "Pitch Perfect 3" only when the cast got drawn in. "It really wasn't until all the girls signed on that I was like, 'Well, it would be so crazy if they were all doing it and I wasn't there,'" she said.

Even now, in spite of its victories, she still feels that the soon-to-be-released threequel, "Pitch Perfect 3," may be the final and last movie in the franchise. She said that the movie feels as if it was a trilogy. However, fans said the same thing about "Fast & Furious," she told Belfast Telegraph. That movie has now run into its eighth phase. Hence, while she thinks that there will be no more films in the "Pitch Perfect" series, she cannot help harboring a hope that there will be - just like the "Fast and Furious" series.

Trish Sie will direct "Pitch Perfect 3." The script is written by Kay Cannon and a draft has been made by Mike White. Other stars who will reprise their characters include Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), Hailee Steinfeld (Emily), Chrissie Fit (Flo), Kelley Jakle (Jessica) and Ester Dean (Cynthia Rose). The movie has been produced by Gold Circle Entertainment's Paul Brooks and Max Handelman and Elizabeth Banks of Brownstone Productions.
