Showtime's Dexter is currently in the midst of gearing up for its final season, as America's favorite serial killer's secret continues to further unravel into public knowledge.

No different in storyline style than its last seven installments, the TV drama will be bringing in a notable name to play a part in Dexter's (Michael C. Hall) dilemma.  However, this latest character knows way too much about the blood spatterer's checkered past.

Actress Charlotte Rampling will be on board in Season 8 to don the role of Dr. Evelyn Vogel, a psychiatrist who was actually involved in the construction of his killer code.

Hence, the main conflict in the upcoming episodes will surely be what she'll do with that pertinent and detrimental information.

"She's needed to reveal a lot of things to Dexter himself. ... The fate of Dexter is a very big question.  Fans, they are going to feel very bereaved I think at the end," Rampling explained.

Showtime's Dexter is set to make its return on Sunday, June 30 at 9/8 p.m. Central.
