"Once Upon a Time" Season 6 is still on its midseason break, but a lot are now talking about the coming of "Once Upon a Time" Season 7. However, there are circling reports that the future of the next installment of the show remains uncertain as ABC has yet to announce its renewal.

If ever "Once Upon a Time" Season 7 will be brought on television, it looks like the show will opt to go a new way. To recall, ABC fantasy drama's executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis earlier said that the television series might hit a "reset button."

Now, ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey supports the two EPs statement. The film producer revealed that Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis already pitched their ideas for the potential storyline of "Once Upon a Time" Season 7.

"There was some interesting stuff, we gave them some feedback and they are now working," Channing Dungey told Deadline. After that, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis will be back for a discussion with her about the continuation of "Once Upon a Time" Season 7.

"I think that, having worked on "Lost," they have a very good sense of the engagement with fans and wanting to end the story in the right way," Channing Dungey continued. She further explained that whatever they'd do at the end of the show's current season, something is coming to an end. Hence, they are still figuring out what will happen in "Once Upon a Time" Season 7.

Moreover, the rating of "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 is gathering an average of 1.05 in the 18 to 49 demo and a total of 3.529 million viewers. Although this is still impressive, it evidently declined compared to its previous ratings. However, "Once Upon a Time" Season 7 might still be on the way as TV Series Finale reported hinted new cast additions.

The publication cited that the show's current season finale might introduce a new pair of stars who have the may become as series regulars and join in "Once Upon a Time" Season 7. It might have a new leading man in between 20 to 30 years old and a 10-year-old girl who has a "constant twinkle of mischief in her eye."
