Katherine Heigl's new CBS legal drama "Doubt" is being canceled. It will be dragged out from its Wednesday night primetime point. So far, just two episodes have been shown. Before Christmas, about 13 episodes of the show got filmed, but now, only two episodes have been aired. The last 11 shows have not been discussed at all.

In "Doubt," Katherine Heigl plays the role of an attorney who falls in love with her client. He has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend. The season was expected to debate on his "guilt or innocence." Other defense attorneys include Laverne Cox, Dulé Hill, Elliot Gould and Dreama Walker in a New York legal practice set-up. Heigl's mother is being played out by guest actor Judith Light.

A review of Katherine Heigl's "Doubt" by Variety did not slam it too much: "There's a brazen quality to "Doubt" that is frothy enough to be silly but grounded enough to take on topical, controversial subjects." Still, even if the quality of the show is not too bad, it is not going to be aired on TV.

Katherine Heigl got some other good reviews for her acting, but the storyline received lukewarm ratings. The premiere show of "Doubt" had a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.31 million total viewers. That was even less than "Code Black," which had been the earlier showing before "Doubt."

Katherine Heigl drew even fewer viewers in her second episode of "Doubt," according to Mail Online. There were only 4.03 million viewers, with a 0.6 rating. It was really tough for the CBS legal network to cope when 45% of the total number of viewers from its lead-in, "Criminal Minds," were lost. "Doubt" was way behind ABC's "Match Game" when it came to the young adult TV fans.

Even though Katherine Heigl's series "Doubt" has tried to revive her flagging career, it hasn't succeeded at all. Recently, a nighttime television show, "State of Affairs," tried to do a career-saving pull, but it was rudely yanked out after only one episode was shown on NBC. The reason cited was again due to its poor ratings. "Doubt" to being ripped off quickly will put an end to her showbiz dreams.

Watch a rerun of "Bull" on CBS at 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, replacing "Doubt." In the next week, Season 2 of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Border" premiere show will be featured. That will occupy the timeslot in subsequent shows. Once the 34th season opener of "Survivor" at 8 ET/PT takes over, it will then switch to "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders."
