Macklemore and Ryan have topped the US Billboard singles chart with their single Can't Hold Us, beating out Justin Timberlake's Mirrors, which sits at number two, Entertainmentwise reported Thursday.

The duo has a Gold record and never signed a record deal.

Their hit single Thrift Shop went to the top of the charts in 15 countries and their debut solo album Heist sold over 700,000 copies in the U.S. alone.

Daft Punk's Get Lucky moved from number four to three, landing a spot on the charts behind Timberlake.

Robin Thicke's single Blurred Lines sits at number six but had success at number one in the U.K.

Timberlake is currently recording new material for volume two of his album The 20/20 Experience, which is set to be released September 30.

Jay-Z posted a photo on Instagram Wednesday of him and Timbaland in the studio with Timberlake and NAS.

"JAY x JT x NAS x TIMBO Rat Pack shit. For some this is "Work"... For us it's just Fun. #RocNation," Jay-Z wrote.

Earlier this year, Timberlake and Jay-Z teamed up on Timberlake's single Suit and Tie. The two will also join forces in July for the Legends of Summer tour.

There has not been any official announcement of a collaboration between the four artists.

Timberlake also stars alongside Ben Affleck in the upcoming film Runner,Runner.

In the movie, Timberlake plays a poor college student attending Princeton with a knack for online poker. He runs into trouble when he bets the house - his tuition money - and loses. He suspects foul play and visits Affleck, who plays a shady offshore businessman. From there, it becomes a mystery of who is tricking whom. The FBI eventually gets involved, further complicating the situation.

Runner, Runner hits theaters September 27.
