Ben Scott is not the most popular among the competitors in this seasons' The Bachelorette

However, he appears to be popular with the one person who truly matters, the Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock. Charming as he may be, many of the other men resent him and question if he really is there for the right reasons.

After bringing his son to the first night, Ben scored points for being upfront and seeming sincere. However, when he barged in on Desiree and Michael's one-on-one time despite already having a rose in the second episode, some claimed he was acting as if he already had the relationship in the bag.

In a recent interview with People, Ben claims he doesn't regret that particular incident even though it seemed to turn most of the house against him.

"I have no regrets. This is a show to find love. I was there to see if [she's] the one I'm going to spend life with and I had my way of going about it. That came back to bite me with some guys," Ben said. "But you're nervous in a situation you're not used to and I saw her and wanted to talk. I feel bad that I hurt somebody's feelings but in the moment, it felt right."

Ben stated he wasn't concerned about the drama reaching Desiree's ears and effecting her perception of him.

However, Monday night's episode does hold bad news for one of the men when their alleged girlfriend makes an appearance, but Ben wouldn't give away any details.

"That scene is something to watch and a big part of the next episode," Ben told People. "The guys are pretty vocal on the situation."

e Bachelorette airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
