Sarah Paulson gave a little teaser about her new character featured in the third season of American Horror Story.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, Paulson talked about how different her new character will be from season 2's Lana.

"Definitely different," she said, "Basically, she's going to look different, and my relationship to Jessica Lange is going to be quite different this time."

In season 2, Lana had an antagonistic relationship with Lange's Sister Jude, who locked her in the asylum under the pretense of sexual perversion. She would eventually come around to Jude by the end of the season. Lana's story was the most complete over the course of Asylum, and Paulson regarded her as the hero of the story.

"At the beginning of last season, no one knew that Lana would be the hero, so it's possible I could end up the evil one this year. As of right now, there will be some of Lana Winters' qualities in my character, but I don't know for sure."

Paulson was announced to return for the third season of American Horror Story, subtitled Coven, in January.  She will be joining returning actors Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Lange. Joining the cast this season are Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe and Emma Roberts.

Details have slowly begun to leak out about Coven, including its New Orleans location and what types of characters will be featured. Enstars previously reported that LuPone will be playing a member of the religious right, while Lange will be playing a "glamour cat sort of lady", said show creator Ryan Murphy.

Murphy also announced that Bates' character would be based on a real-life person who is "five times worse than [Bates'] character in Misery." FEARnet posted an article on Monday speculating that Bates' character may be Delphine LaLaurie, a socialite who, "in the 1830s, was discovered to have tortured and killed her house slaves."

More details should be coming within the next few weeks as production picks back up on American Horror Story season 3.

American Horror Story: Coven will be premiering in October.
