Issa Rae has been making waves digitally and now on the small screen for years now. The talented writer and actress now has another success to put under her belt.

Rae has been named the newest Cover Girl!

The cosmetic line announced the news on the heels of the season finale for the second season of Rae’s Insecure that airs on HBO.

It posted a snapshot of the beauty rocking light brown curly hair and a bronze lipstick. The company added, “@issarae YES, you better believe it beautiful, the secret is finally out and we couldn’t be happier! YOU ARE EVERYTHING… and we are so honored to welcome you to the #COVERGIRL family! #COVERGIRLMADE”

Rae also took to her own Instagram page to express her excitement of the dream she said she never thought would become a reality. “I remember being an awkward black girl in high school, reading the pages of my favorite magazines, casualy flipping through @COVERGIRL ads, singing their slogan in my head. Never EVER in my life did I imagine I’d be one. I am SO honored and SO excited for what’s to come…”

Yvonne Orji, who plays Rae’s best friend on the series, also showed love for her co-star.

“I'm bout to run to every CVS, RITE AID & WALGREENS and just WAIT for @issarae's @covergirl line to DROP! I'm coppin ERRYYY DARN SHADE, you hear me?! I'mo be so ignant at the checkout counter if they ran out and ain't re-stocked. I'm telling you right now, I don't care what shade you are, I will try to push these products in your cart (you know somebody brown!). WHY?! Cuz I'm HELLA HAPPY right now for my BOOOOO!!!!!! Congrats mama! What's crazy is... THE BEST IS STILL YET TO COME!!”

Rae received her claim to fame via her original YouTube sensation Awkward Black Girl series. She later inked a deal with HBO for the hit show, Insecure.
