Season 5 of ABC's hit TV series Castle ended its latest installment with a major cliffhanger, which was whether Beckett (Stana Katic) would take a new job in Washington, D.C., or stay put and marry Castle (Nathan Fillion).

Unfortunately for loyalists, the crime writer's proposal was never answered, and will surely be used to draw even more interest to the storyline into the sixth season.

On June 11, Fillion took the time to address the lingering anticipation over Castle and Beckett's future to TVLine.

"We did not shoot the answer. We did not shoot the answer. We did that last of day of shooting on a Thursday. Friday, I came in and did some looping ... and then left town immediately [to] work in Canada. I have no idea, not a one. I've not had one email, not one discussion, not a phone call about where things are going to happen," he said.

Although no date has yet to be officially revealed, all indications point to Castle starting up again either on Monday, September 23 or the week after, according to Carter Matt.
