Seinfeld stars Jason Alexander and Michael Richards are reuniting for a new TV Land sitcom starring Kirstie Alley.

Alexander will guest star as Alley's agent on Kirstie when the show premieres this fall. The show chronicles the life of Madison Banks (Alley) a Broadway star whose child she abandoned upon his birth shows up on her doorstep. Richards will be a series regular on the sitcom, starring as Madison's outrageous driver.

Alexander is excited to reunite with Richards, a full 15 years after Seinfeld went off the air.

"It is a strange and wonderful thing to be working on a brand new show yet surrounded by familiar faces and friends," Alexander said in a statement on Thursday, "I'm looking forward to a fun and fabulous time."

Kirstie also stars Alley's own former co-star Rhea Perlman, who will play Madison's assistant. The pair co-starred on the popular '80s sitcom Cheers together, both winning Emmys for their performances.

Coincidentally, Cheers helped launch Seinfeld on NBC after sharing the Thursdays at 9 p.m. timeslot.

Much has changed since Alley's new show was announced in January. Originally, the show was supposed to be called Giant Baby with Alley and Perlman starring as best friends. Alley said at the time, "We were planning this when we were doing Cheers. We said, 'When Cheers isn't on the air we'll do a show together.'"

The series' name was then changed to Kirstie's New Show in February before finally settling on Kristie. TV Land producers are very excited for Alley's new show.

"We've been after Kirstie for two years, and now we found the perfect show for her," said TV Land executive Keith Cox. "We are so excited to give a home to Kirstie and this amazing cast with a show that TV Land fans will love."

TV Land has not yet set a premiere date for Kirstie, though it is expected to premiere in the fall.
