In Little Red Corvette Lisbon is convinced a geologist was the key to bringing down Tommy Volker and the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) looks into the man's death in the rebroadcast of The Mentalist episode, which airs Sunday, July 7 on CBS.

The episode originally aired on Jan. 13, 2013 and Henry Ian Cusick reprised his role as the multi-millionaire Tommy Volker.

Simon Baker stars as Patrick Jane in the series, a consultant with the CBI who consistently uses his strong observational skills for solving series crimes. Jane works independently and has an exceptional track record. He has a notorious reputation because he does not always follow the CBI's protocol and he used to work as a psychic and he admitted he feigned his paranormal abilities.

The character Red John is a serial killer who murdered Jane's wife and daughter while Jane was pretending to be a psychic. The plot of the series revolves around Jane seeking revenge and continuously working with the CBI to capture Red John.

The agents in Lisbon admire Jane's problem solving abilities, though they dislike his unconventional approach. The Lisbon team includes Wayne Rigsby, Grace Van Pelt and Kimball Cho.

In the Season 5 finale of The Mentalist, the seven Red John suspects were revealed on the season finale of the CBS series on May 5, or Red John so it seemed. Red John knows everything that Patrick Jane is thinking, including his list. How much the viewer can trust that the elusive serial killer is actually among those seven names is in question. 

The show's creator, Bruno Heller, revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month that the final episode was written to set up next season.

Season 6 of The Mentalist airs in fall 2013.
