2018 is shaping up to be a monumental year for TV talent competitions.

With Kelly Clarkson joining The Voice and ABC relaunching American Idol, aspiring singers will have several choices to shoot for stardom. FOX Television has gambled that singers would sign up with a brand new show called The Four: Battle for Stardom.

The Four: Battle for Stardom will allegedly have singers duke it out on stage to remain in the competition. If a performer does earn a spot, other artists will seek to unseat them. All competing artists will also hear back from an elite group of panelists or as the show will call them: experts.

All-Star Experts

Sean "Diddy" Combs was the first expert to be announced with the show. With five studio albums, 72 singles, several production companies, and multiple fashion lines, Mr. Combs is the quintessential entrepreneur that inspires fans around the world. From his philanthropic endeavors to his knowledge as both a rapper and a producer, artists will be very eager to learn from him.

DJ Khaled is expected to take the panel's second seat at the table. The King of Snapchat has amassed an enormous amount of social media followers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The rapper and producer has produced music for global superstars Jay-Z, Kanye West, Chris Brown, and Ludacris. Khaled has previous experience on competition shows as he advised Alicia Keys during The Voice: Season 12 and was a guest judge on America's Got Talent.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor is the show's third expert. The world fell in love with her when she released her hits: "All About the Bass," "Lips Are Movin," and "NO." She also wrote tracks for Fifth Harmony, Jennifer Lopez, Little Mix, and Rascal Flatts. Just like Khaled, Trainor has developed a loyal media following with over 8.5 Million YouTube subscribers and 8.9 Instagram followers.

Rounding out the panel is Republic Records president Charlie Walk. The music industry insider is in charge of overseeing the various departments of the Universal Music Group label. Walk has worked with numerous artists such as Ariana Grande, DNCE, Drake, Hailee Steinfeld, Julia Michaels, and Nick Jonas, who have dominated the Top 40 music charts.

Rewards For Disruption

The artist who will win The Four: Battle for Superstar is expected to receive significant award. They will receive the backing of the show's four experts and be named an iHeartMedia "On The Verge" Artist.

"This show is going to disrupt the world of competition television and will revolutionize the format. It took the right show and network to bring me back in the game. We plan on being the best talent show out there, taking it to that next level and making history again," Diddy said in a statement to Deadline.

The New York Daily News revealed that Fergie is expected to host the six-part series, which will debut on FOX on Jan. 4.

Aspiring singers have until Jan. 26, 2018 to upload their audition materials onto the show's website.
