Olivia Culpo Confirms Split From Danny Amendola: 'I Don't Feel Comfortable Talking About It'

Olivia Culpo finally broke her silence amid speculations that she and boyfriend Danny Amendola have called it quits. The model confirmed the breakup but refused to delve into it.

Culpo confirmed that she and Amendola are no longer together during a guest appearance on Access Live on Wednesday. The 25-year-old former beauty queen reasoned that the breakup is still fresh so she refused to give the details.

"I don't feel comfortable talking about it," Culpo tells show host Natalie Morales and guest co-host Scott Evans.

Culpo also did not give a direct answer when asked if she and Amendola have spoken since the split.

"Everything goes through breakups in life. It is sort of just everybody has their own way of handling it and it's something that I'm definitely not going to get into at this moment," Culpo replies and adds that "everybody can relate to heartbreak."

Breakup Reasons

Culpo, the 2012 Miss Universe winner and Amendola, a former New England Patriots wide receiver, reportedly could not handle a long-distance relationship. A source claimed that them barely seeing each other and the distance took its toll on their relationship.

The 32-year-old Amendola got signed in to play for the Miami Dolphins and relocating was not in the cards for Culpo. The insider added that Amendola was also not pleased when his girlfriend posed nude for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Meanwhile, another insider claimed that Amendola could not handle Culpo's demanding lifestyle. He was also not pleased with some of the choices she was making and the constant travel caused a rift in the relationship.

Rumors about the split began circulating after fans noticed that Amendola deleted all photos of Culpo on his Instagram and unfollowed her. Unlike his ex-girlfriend, who opted to keep photos of them together on social media. Culpo still has the sexy snapshot from their Caribbean getaway on March 10 up on her Instagram page. She also kept a photo of them locking lips during Valentine's Day.

Culpo and Amendola were together for over two years. They started dating in 2016. The athlete revealed at the time that he met The Other Woman actress while walking down the corner of Hollywood and Vine. They bumped into each other on the street.

Ahead of the split, Amendola gushed about Culpo at a press conference. She called her a great and loving girlfriend who is very supportive of his career. He also acknowledged that he is lucky to have her.
