Chrissy Teigen has welcomed her second child with husband John Legend. The supermodel and cookbook author shared the happy news on Twitter.

Making The Announcement Chrissy Style

Teigen tweeted out the news Wednesday, with a series of baby bottle emojis to mark the event.

Their son joins 2-year-old daughter, Luna Simone Stephens, making them now a family of four.

He came early, however, as Teigen was due to give birth next month. She tweeted last week about being completely over with being pregnant.

Getting Used To The New Arrangement

Teigen utilized Luna in a video last November to reveal her pregnancy. In the sweet clip, the little girl points at her belly and yells "Baby!"

Although she seemed fully into the new arrival, Legend explained to E! News in January that their daughter didn't quite understand what being a big sister actually meant just yet.

"We know there's a baby in there and she can say 'baby' but I don't really know if she knows what it means for her mother to be carrying another child and for that child to be her little sibling. I don't know if she's ready for that yet," he said at the time.

Taking Matters Into Their Own Hands

The couple was eager to expand their family that they underwent a frozen embryo transfer last year in the hopes of getting pregnant again. They started off with 20 embryos, three of which were deemed normal.

"The first little girl didn't work, and then the second is Luna," shared Teigen in an interview at the time.

The final male embryo has just resulted in a little boy for the happy couple. Last week, Teigen joked with a fan online that it feels as though she's been pregnant forever because IVF means it happens so quickly.

Being Open About Her Struggles

Luna was born back in 2016. Teigen suffered from postpartum depression and just a couple months ago, she admitted she had some concerns about it cropping up again this time around.

However, she also expressed that she's ready for it if it does happen with her second child.

"Do I worry about it with this little boy? I do. But I also know that when it does happen-if it does-I'm so ready for it. I have the perfect people around me for it. That's why I stand for a real core group of people around me," she said.

The group she was talking about was present at Teigen's surprise baby shower last month. Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner held the party at her own palatial estate in Calabasas with her daughter Kim Kardashian-West and husband Kanye West, Brooklyn Decker, Andy Roddick, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and loads more.

The then-expectant mother took to Instagram to thank everybody for coming. She shared how happy she is that a rigid hater of baby showers like herself had been spoiled rotten by those close to her. Teigen revealed that even by opening gifts in front of people does make her hugely uncomfortable.
