With her heartbreak still haunting her, Taylor Swift is definitely Selena Gomez's lifesaver.

Both Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez did an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple's Beats 1 radio on Friday. In the interview, Selena shared how Taylor was there for her since day one, especially when she's in the process of moving on from her breakup with Justin Bieber last year.

The best friends never mentioned Bieber's name; however, they talked about Selena's newly released song, "Lose You To Love Me." The latest single, as what many believe, is Selena's breakup song and final farewell to her now-married ex-boyfriend.

During the interview, Taylor was the one who spoke first to Lowe about Selena's song.

For her, it was the best thing Selena has ever done. Taylor also shared that the "Heart Wants What It Wants" hitmaker came over to her place and played her the video. Taylor has always been so proud of Selena, but she was even more proud that Gomez was able to make the song after all that has happened to her.

Selena Following Taylor's Footsteps?

Taylor Swift is one empowered woman, and writing her personal experience, heartbreaks and feelings into songs is her style. In fact, much of her songs have been said to be about her ex-boyfriends over the past years.

With Selena's newly released breakup song "Lose You To Love Me," it seems Gomez is also taking a step in the same direction as her best friend.

Selena hasn't been very vocal about her true feelings since her breakup with Justin Bieber last year. However, her latest single was certainly full of emotion -- and it undoubtedky feels real.

The "Heart Wants What It Wants" singer has always been grateful for having Taylor as her friend, and she admitted that Taylor was one of her main inspirations in making her recent album.

Best of Friends

After being shown Taylor's interview, Selena could not contain herself after hearing what her best friend said. Gomez told Zane that she finds it "sweet of her" to say those stuff about her.

Lowe then asked Selena what her life would be without her friends, to which the 27-year-old replied with an emotional and heartwarming answer.

"I don't know. I really don't," Gomez responded

Selena then went on to say that Taylor has been by her side since day one, and she is truly an amazing friend to her. She also shared how her true friends stood by her side no matter what, supporting her through thich and thin.

"They never stopped loving me," Selena added. "And I played her the song, and I played it with her mom and dad, and I showed her the video and her mom and Taylor started crying. And it wasn't because the song was emotional. It was just because the first thing they said to me was, 'We're so happy that you're here. After seeing all of that, this is such a cool moment.' And that's a huge thing for me."

The 27-year old singer also expressed how tired her heart is with the situation she has been in the past years. For her, allowing herself to express what she was feeling though her song was very important to her.

Selena Goez is now in a better situation, and her fans have Taylor Swift to partly thank for that.
