As the cast and crew gear up for the season 3 premiere of Scandal, the show's creator recently revealed that the team will get together for a table read this week.

Shonda Rhimes tweeted that the Scandal season premiere table read will be held on Thursday. The sit-down will be the first time the show's actors get together to read through scripts for the upcoming season. In a tweet posted minutes earlier, Rhimes also announced that the Grey's Anatomy table read is on Monday.

Scandal's primary network is ABC but the show will expand its audience when it airs on BET in the summer and fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Viacom-owned cable network obtained off-network rights to air repeats of the show's first and second season this summer. Season 3 episodes will air no sooner than eight days after original episodes are broadcast for the first time on ABC.

"We're thrilled to be joining forces with ABC in airing this dynamic series," BET chairman Debra Lee said. "Scandal is a cultural phenomenon that has resonated with viewers for the past two seasons and we're excited to be part of its continued journey."
