With American Horror Story's third installment currently in production, a few details have been leaked about key characters.

American Horror Story producers are looking to cast three different characters, according to a report Friday by SpoilerTV.

The first character producers are looking to cast is Carter, a "small-town hunk" in his 20s. This would be one of the few male characters in the predominately female cast. Thus far, Evan Peters is the only male that has been confirmed to have a main role in the new season. Peters appeared in American Horror Story's first two installments.

More intriguingly, fans may now know the names of two of the most important characters for season 3. Casting is looking for a 20-year-old version of Gwen, who is listed as the character Jessica Lange will be playing. This could be a temporary name or a decoy, but considering both Lange and fellow cast member Sarah Paulson have talked about getting the first few scripts already, it is assumed that Gwen will be Lange's character's name.

Additionally, producers are looking to cast a redhead 20-year-old version of Ruth, the character played by Frances Conroy. One SpoilerTV commenter suggested that producers go with Alexandra Breckenridge, who played the younger version of Conroy's character in American Horror Story's first season.

Conroy played a character named Ruth for five seasons on the HBO show Six Feet Under. It is unknown if this character naming is a coincidence or not, but as another commenter suggested, it could be a temporary name through the casting process.

Casting the younger versions of Gwen and Ruth could have something to do with the video posted in late June, which spoiled a plot point involving "youth serum." Though the video was taken down, read Enstars detailed description here.

American Horror Story's third season, subtitled Coven, will premiere in October on FX.
