Jared Padalecki is among the cast members of "Gilmore Girls" that fans truly loved when it aired. However, not all of his experience while filming the show is good as he recalled a shocking moment from the past.

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, the 39-year-old actor said he didn't shoot every day for his character Dean, the lover of Rory (Alexis Bledel).

On the particular week of his experience, Padalecki said he wasn't needed on set until Friday, so he decided to go out for a night out with his friends until four in the morning as he thought his schedule was free the following day.

Recalling the incident, the actor said Lauren Graham got sick, and the scene she was about to film on Tuesday had to be re-scheduled.

For the production not to waste any efforts, they had to film another scene and ultimately decided to take his character and Lindsay (Arielle Kebbel) to get married and come out of the chapel.

Since Padalecki was still tired from his night out, the crew had a hard time waking him up as he was not answering his calls to the point that his manager had to call his friend for him to start getting ready.

When the actor finally got ahold of his phone, he had 20 missed calls and text messages, so he immediately got ready and had a cup of coffee before driving to Warner Brothers Studios.

"I was probably two hours later than they were hoping and I didn't have the scene prepared, but I knew the basics of what was going on," he recalled. (via Us Weekly Magazine)

When they were filming the scene, Padalecki said he didn't have many lines at first as the scene only required them to come out of the chapel, but some scenes included a dialogue, so he did his best to memorize it while doing hair and makeup.

Despite the successful shoot, the actor said filming it was "basically the feeling of that nightmare where you're naked at school."

It seems like the actor learned his lesson because today, he claims that he's known for his "over-preparation," and if it happens again in the future, he knows what to do for it not to happen again.

"Gilmore Girls" ran for over seven seasons; the first episode aired in 2000 and the last in 2007; the comedy-drama series was revived in 2016 for the spin-off "A Year in the Life."

Aside from Padalecki, other cast members include Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Keiko Agena, and many more.
