Norman Reedus faced a tragic injury while he was on the set of "The Walking Dead," his representative confirmed.

Deadline first reported the worrying news, saying that Reedus sustained a head injury on the set of the hit series on March 11 in Georgia. At that time, the team was reportedly completing the series' final episodes.

According to the actor's spokesperson, Jeffrey Chassen, Reedus suffered a concussion on set. While it sounded worrying, he assured the fans that the actor is now recovering well and will return to work soon.

Chassen did not disclose further details about the injury - how and when exactly Reedus got it. Still, the injury was seemingly bad enough that he had to sit out himself on the Fandemic Tour.

In the event's official Instagram account, it confirmed that the actor pulled out of his appearance following the incident.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances Nick Carter had to postpone due to scheduling conflicts, and Norman Reedus had to postpone due to an injury," the statement said. "We are sending all of our thoughts and positive energy to Norman Reedus. Everyone in our amazing community knows how much he loves his fans, and he wants you to know how terrible he feels about the situation."

Fandemic Tour's account also wished for the actor's speedy recovery so he could join them soon.

Before suffering from the injury, Reedus was still able to be part of Orville Peck's music video for the song, "The Curse of the Blackened Eye." The actor is no longer a stranger to appearing in several music videos, though.

Previously, he starred in Keith Richard's "Wicked as It Seems" music video in 1992. He then joined other projects by Bjork, Radiohead, R.E.M, Jihae, and Lady Gaga.

On top of these, he worked on a part of the Motivation collaborative album.
