The cast for the prequel series of Ted has officially been announced, and it is shaping up to be an unmissable comedic adventure.

Everyone fell in love with the irreverent and hilarious film franchise Ted, about the raunchy teddy bear voiced by Seth MacFarlane. Peacock has had a prequel series to these fan favorite films in the works for some time, and MacFarlane, the writer and director of the original films, has been working hard to assemble the perfect team for the new series.

Now, the cast has been announced. According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter, Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes, and Giorgia Whigham are also set to star in the prequel series.

Max Burkholder will play the role of a sixteen year old John Bennett - the role whose adult version was originally helmed by Mark Wahlberg. Giorgia Wingham will play his cousin, a college student named Blair Bennett. Bennett lives with her uncle, aunt, and younger cousin John. Scott Grimes will take on the role of the uncle, Matty Bennett– a man who thinks he is always right and has no interest in being corrected.

With this dream team assembled, we are sure that this series will be the smash-hit it was always predicted to be after Peacock picked up this prequel straight to series.

The show will follow the first connection between Ted and John Bennett back in 1993. While Ted may not always be the best influence on John, his unyielding loyalty always shines through.

We can't wait to see this series when it comes to Peacock.
