Pedro Pascal does not have any negative feelings after his character's death in "Game of Thrones."

Pascal became part of the "Game of Thrones" Season 4 where he played the role of Oberyn Martell. Unfortunately, the character was killed immediately in the most horrifying way when Gregor Clegane squeezed his head until it burst.

"GoT" fans now see it as one of the most memorable - and brutal - scenes in the series' history, and Pascal revealed that he was unbothered by it.

In a new interview with Esquire, Pascal detailed some of the notable scenes in his career, including his death in "GoT" - which has since been considered one of the franchise's iconic deaths.

"Makes me feel like a boss. If I'm actually up there and if I'm in the top three, I mean then like, everything after is a bit futile," he said. "It's like, what am I doing? Why am I still trying? I did it."

It was not the first time he talked about the character's death, though.

In 2014, he told EW that he became well known for his role that everyone had been "sweet about it." He also revealed that he went through trainings to prepare for his big battle in the series.

Pedro Pascal ALMOST Never Became Part of "Game of Thrones"

During the same Esquire interview, Pascal said that his part nearly went to someone else instead. According to the actor, the series co-creator David Benioff said that his audition was amateurish.

"There were so many pages. They sent me like 20 something pages to do, which obviously, in the time that they wanted the tape to be turned in, I wasn't going to be able to memorize all those lines. So the easiest way was for somebody to sit in front of you with an iPhone and then just kind of like have the pages down here and read it casually," he recalled.

Meanwhile, Benioff told Variety that the "GoT" team did not regret their decision to kill Pascal's character. The showrunner clarified that they love Pascal and the character. However, the character's death became one of their favorite brutal killings ever.

He added that fans remember Oberyn now as he died in the most horrible way. If they reportedly did not kill him, the actor would never have had the chance to do "Narcos."
