Johnny Depp finally took the stand and testified in the defamation trial in a Fairfax, Virginia court.

On Tuesday, Depp dropped bombshell statements that could help him win the case this time. The actor started his remarks by telling people his one goal: the truth.

The actor filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, over her 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post, where she detailed her experience with domestic abuse. Although she never mentioned Depp in her piece, the actor still lost his titular roles in major movie franchises, including Gellert Grindelwald in "Fantastic Beasts" and Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean."

According to Depp, he never struck Heard in any way nor has he ever hurt any woman in his life. His statement supports all the testimonies that suggest that he is never abusive to anyone.

Still, he lost everything and suffered from financial losses after Heard penned the article.

"It's been six years of trying times - so strange when one day you're Cinderella, so to speak and then in zero point six seconds you're Quasimodo. I didn't deserve that and nor did my children, nor did the people who had believed in me all these years," he said in his testimony, as quoted by BBC.

Johnny Depp Also Reveals Truth About Opioid Addiction

Elsewhere in his statement, the "Into the Woods" actor said that he took his mother's nerve pills as self-medication due to "take the edge off." Although he started trying it at the age of 11, he claimed that he never took drugs or drank to "party."

Instead, he started using them to overcome the pain.

The 58-year-old star alleged that he had long periods of total sobriety before dismissing the evidence presented that reportedly proved he was out of control on a film set.

"When I was with Ms. Heard, and her friends and we were all drinking wine and I was smoking marijuana, they used to tease me for what they said was a ludicrous tolerance because I never appeared bloated or high. Even if I felt a little spinny no one would have ever known," he said, per Deadline.

Still, he admitted to being addicted to the prescription opioid Roxycodone. He took the drug after suffering a back injury while filming an action scene in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." Eventually, he reportedly vowed to stay off it that he never used it when he got his finger severed in Australia.
