When it came to this film, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have decided to Just Do It! The two well known actors are teaming up to work on a movie together about the well-known athletic wear and equipment company Nike. This upcoming movie will join the legions of films that retell historical tales in a cinematic fashion. It will chronicle the story of, according to an article on People, of Sonny Voccarro, the man behind the sneaker's partnership with the athletic icon Michael Jordan. Matt Damon is set to take on the role of Voccarro in the film. Ben Affleck will be directing the venture and taking on the role of Phil Knight, the co-founder of Nike.
The movie is being produced by Amazon Studios, Skydance Sports, and Mandalay Pictures. The two stars wrote the script together and now find themselves within the throws of the editing process. This is not the first time the two have teamed up as a writing duo. Affleck and Damon wrote the classic film Good Will Hunting together, a movie that lives on in the hearts of all who have seen it. If this film is anything like the others they have written together, we can reasonably expect greatness.
