The Lehman Triology, Six: The Musical, and Kimberly Akimbo come out victorious in the 2022 Outer Critics Circle Awards.

Just a few short weeks away from the Tonys, the Outer Critics Circle Awards honored their winners just last night. While many of the fantastic works we have seen on stage this past season were honored, three producitions in particular walked away with their arms filled with accolades.

The Lehman Trilogy walked away with the most awards overall. The drama won six awards last night, including Outstanding New Broadway Play, Outstanding Actor in a Play won, Outstanding Director of a Play, Outstanding Lighting Design, Outstanding Sound Design, and Outstanding Video Production/Projection Design.

The Lehman Trilogy is also the most frequently nominated play for this year's Tony Awards. Last night's event certainly bodes well for them in that regard.

Six: The Musical walked away with the victory for Outstanding New Broadway Musical. The her-story-based musical also left with the awards for Outstanding Costume Design and Outstanding Score.

But the musical to leave the ceremony with the most awards was the Off-Broadway hit Kimberly Akimbo. The Broadway-bound production won four awards, including Outstanding New Off-Broadway Musical, Outstanding Director of a Musical, and Outstanding Book of a Musical. This show is certainly one to keep an eye out for.

Congratulations to all of the winners!
