Britney Spears and Sam Asghari got married in an intimate celebration last night, and it is trending on Twitter for a number of different reasons.

The wedding itself was an immaculate affair. Britney Spears wore a beautiful gown designed by Versace. The venue was decorated perfectly, making the setting look like a dream. Her veil gracefully floated down onto her train. The entire ceremony looked absolutely breath taking.

The biggest news of the night, aside of course from Spears and Asghani tying the knot, was the appearance of Spears's ex-husband, Jason Alexander, appearing at the ceremony attempting to break-up the event.

He live streamed his attempts on social media. The Twitterverse is decrying him for this harassment of the pop star.

In lighter news, the wedding is also trending because it looked like THE place to be. The guest list was absolutely immaculate, so it is no wonder that the pictures coming from the event are some of the most iconic of our generation.

The star-studded guest list included icons such as Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore. Paris Hilton, Kate Hudson, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Many of the photos show different combinations of the friends embracing.

One poster remarked, "Britney was having so much fun!"

After an undeniably difficult year, we are so happy to see her surrounded by so much love and joy.

And of course, while the love of her friends is incredibly important, a wedding is really about the love between the two guests of honor. Their pictures show the same outpouring of love. We are so happy that the two have found love and support in each other.
