Well, it seems Tim Allen wasn't the only Toy Story alum who has a slight beef with Chris Evans taking over the role of Buzz Lightyear in the new Pixar film Lightyear.

While being interviewed for his work as Colonel Tom Parker in Baz Luhrmann's biopic Elvis, Woody, himself, Tom Hanks, had something to say about the character's voice swap. He was asked,

"Is it strange to be in theaters opposite a Buzz Lightyear film?"

Hanks' face quickly seemed to give the answer as he said,

"How about that? Actually, I - I wanted to go head-to-head with Tim Allen, and then they didn't let Tim Allen do it. I don't understand that."

Making note of Chris Evans recent popularity, Hanks continued with a pretty reasonable point about the overall state of going to a movie house,

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. But here's the thing: Just as long as people come back to the motion picture theater. I want to go back into the theater with a bunch of strangers and leave with something in common. That's what I want to do. And going - going to a movie to see him, I'm looking forward to that."

Regardless of what the stars might think of Evans' part in Lightyear, it is really the box office receipts that really matter for Disney at the end of the day. So far the film has netted them $190 million worldwide thus far on a roughly $200 million budget.

Lightyear is playing now in theaters.
