Johnny Depp was recently spotted in Italy with a redhead lady.

Many media speculated that it was his new lover; after all, it was about time he moved on with his life following his stunning victory in the six-week defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

It appeared like Depp and the lady were on a romantic retreat. Several sites received photos of him and the woman exiting a van together, and she even brought out a big bag for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor and handed it to him.

According to Radar Online, the actor observed hanging around was a crew member on the shoot of his latest film, "Jeanne du Barry."

Their source said the lady was Depp's French instructor, and the two had a romantic relationship "There is no romantic link. Professional at all times."

Johnny Depp's New Movie

Johnny Depp is in a new movie called "Jeanne du Barry," which is his first film appearance in over three years.

His most recent film, "Minamata," was released in 2019.

Depp will play King Louis XV in the next film.

TMZ reported in June that he was in France shooting the film.

After winning a $15 million damages judgment against his ex-wife, this is his first major effort in a long time.

As previously stated, Johnny Depp was sacked from the "Fantastic Beasts" trilogy after participating in the first two films. This occurred following his defeat in his libel suit against The Sun. Mads Mikkelsen took his position.

Depp sued Heard for allegedly faking abuse charges in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed, claiming she was a victim of domestic violence.

Though the article never mentioned Depp by name, he said that any reader would think Heard was referring to him.

In court, the "Edward Scissorhands" star testified that he never touched his "Aquaman" actress ex, alleging that Heard was the aggressor in the altercations.

In the end, Depp received $10 million in compensation and $5 million in punitive damages, while Heard received $2 million on her counterclaim.

While Depp is back on set, he is still not out of the woods, as Amber Heard's attorneys have stated that they would appeal the jury's ruling.

"Jeanne du Barry" does not yet have a release date because it is currently in the production phases.
