Did Whoopi Goldberg ask for a multimillion-dollar payout in walking away from "The View?"

According to the Globe, Goldberg will only leave the program if she is paid $32 million.

The publication said she had been asked to quit "The View" for an extended period of time, but she just signed a new four-year contract with the show beginning in 2021.

This means that she will want her $8 million compensation in advance for the following four years.

According to a tip to the magazine, "Even with her massive ego, she can't keep her foes at bay indefinitely. She wants a large bribe to depart, or she'll stay and make everyone unhappy."

According to the source, "The View" executives are even contemplating the "Sister Act" star's request since they realize that this is the only legal option to replace her as a host on the show.

She still has three years remaining on her contract, but given her "embarrassing" blunderson television, the executives believe it would be "prudent" to replace Goldberg with another presenter.

According to the source, "Whoopi's stance is that they can put her out to pasture, but they'll have to pay a lot of money. She's stating the obvious: treat her fairly or she'll depart quietly. If not, they'll be holding a ferocious hornet."

Meanwhile, numerous "The View" viewers have pledged to boycott the show following Whoopi Goldberg's alarming conduct on television.

On the daytime talk program last month, the 66-year-old presenter remarked "a-" while discussing parenting.

"Sometimes you have to be an a-to be a parent," she continued, but the profanity didn't sit well with home viewers.

In that episode, they called out her and Sunny Hostin's profane language on Reddit (via The Sun), stating it "was a touch much today."

Others chastised them for cussing while advocating for stricter gun control.

"I realize they're enthusiastic about gun control, but this isn't the Howard Stern program. Some people have children who are home for the summer."

"Does Whoopi have to curse all the time?" a third individual inquired.

However, the Globe's claims should be taken with a grain of salt because there is no indication that Whoop Goldberg is requesting her advance salary if she is considered or forced to leave "The View."
