'The Queen's Gambit' Star Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcom McRae Get Married In a Secret Ceremony!

Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcom McRae have officially - and secretly - tied the knot! 

We were not kidding when we said it was wedding season. From Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez to Jay Ellis and Nina Senicar, exciting wedding news has been filling our feeds all summer long. Now, The Queen's Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy has joined the mix.

She and her boyfriend Malcom McRae got married in a secret courthouse ceremony. This happened before Taylor-Joy had to head to Australia for the filming of Furiosa. 

The two actors have not been officially dating for very long, but their love for each other is unquestionable. They have only been 'officially together' in the public eye for nine months. However, while this is as long as the public has known about their relationship, that does not mean that is all there has been two it. The two are famously private about things between them, much like the ever-iconic Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn. 

Furthermore, the two, due to the nature of their successful acting careers, have had to spend a great deal of their time apart. In an interview with Elle back in 2021 said: 

"it is [difficult], but it's also kind of great because when you're together you're really valuing the time that you have. Everyday mundane activities are so full of joy. I love going to the petrol station with him and filling up the car and going to get breakfast." 

Congratulations to the happy couple! We hope their married lives between filming are full of many more of those mundane joys.
